Accommodation
The Raw Retreat is small and personalised where all guests get individual attention. All accommodation at the retreat is private. There are no communal areas.
We have The Studio and three sumptuous shepherd’s huts. Our huts have been sustainably handmade for us by skilled craftsmen and women. They all have their own unique character but are all equally cosy and snug.

For Just Stay Retreats choose any of the shepherd’s huts or The Studio.

Disabled access: Please note there is a spiral staircase in The Studio and steps up to the Shepherd’s Huts.

The Studio, adjacent to Lyhner House but with its own private entrance, is situated on a quiet country lane.

The Halcyon Shepherd's Hut

Halcyon, our largest shepherd’s hut and designed to our own specifications, provides the ultimate escape. It is nestled between the fields and a tributary of the River Lynher. Sink down into the king-size bed and look out onto ancient oaks. You may even see herons on the pond or deer in the garden at dawn or dusk.

It is the perfect place to get away from it all and have some quiet time to yourself. Halcyon has a wood-burning stove so in every season, in any weather, guests can escape, breathe, unwind and enjoy the peace and beauty of rural Cornwall.
The Hideaway Shepherd's Hut

Our newest shepherd’s hut, made locally in Cornwall, is tucked away in a private corner of the garden which is just for your use, yet it is the closest to our home. It has the same characterful features as our other huts and all the creature comforts you need for a cosy detox getaway or weight loss holiday. There is double bed, a vintage radiator in the shower room and an Everhot cast iron stove (think Aga on a mini scale) in the main living and sleeping area so you’ll be toastie even in the depths of winter.

If has the fastest internet speeds of all our huts so if you need to ‘work & detox’ or simply just stay in touch with friends and family or watch Netflix on the smart TV, this is the hut to choose.

The Hermitage Shepherd’s Hut is the epitome of clever design and craftsmanship, with an innovative, fold –down, wall bed which we are happy to put away for you in the morning and bring down for you with the last juice or soup of the day in the early evening ready for relaxing and a blissful night (no chocolates on the pillow though).
It also features an ingenious coffee table which miraculously turns into a desk if you want (or need) to work whilst here. It’s never been so easy and time-saving to get your ‘detoxing done’ whilst still ‘in the office’.

The interior of the hut is spaciously designed. Bright, yet cosy with its own wood-burning stove. Take some time out to slow down, rest, reset, rethink, re-charge and renew. Connect with nature and get in touch with who you truly are by investing in some tranquil time just for you.
